Reading Lists

It has been just over a year since I started reading aloud to the boys every day, and I am more convinced than ever that this is the most important part of our day. Well, make that second behind eating together as a family. (We are Italian, and food always comes first.) It is more important than main lesson, more important than a clean house, more important than any activity we do in town. I hold storytime as sacred time, honoring it with a simple ritual of lighting candles, being quiet and listening. Such treatment transforms a single hour each afternoon into something that is magical, meaningful and memorable.

You can find what we have been reading on the pages in this category.

Here is a post with details about how we do storytime at our house.
