Little Altars Everywhere

img_0643

Rose quartz, selenite heart, sage bundle

Bring a smooth stone
that I might heft,
the weight of it
sleeping in my hand.
Bring me such a stone
and I will pledge by fealty
although your face
is always turned away.
That stone I shall carry
through ruptures and joining
until its circled shadow
is worn into my palm.
The when you are done,
lead me to the field of stones
where I’ll lay it down in rain
upon what has to be.
If this gift should please
your grace, alter me
back to bone, one
with stone, at last.
