Habit: Reflective Friday

A peek into my week. Have a great weekend friends, and thank you for spending part of your day with me. S

IMG_7682I asked him if parking a broken down cattle trailer in front of a girl’s house was an indication of a farmer’s affection. He laughed.

  1. I so much enjoy the sharing Sheila that you and others do. I am rarely on the computer and your blog was the first I ever went on .
This week I have experienced many spontaneous and hilarious moments
In my days of homeschooling .
Monday I had a plan to start the day with our math block shuffling numbers concentrating on concepts of regrouping. Ravenjane went up to make her bed and get dressed as I was at the kitchen sink. I finished the dishes, wiped the counters lastly wiped the lower white cupboards. In a flash myind’s eye saw Colors of Spring; flowers , trees and a blue sky. I ran upstars to see how ravenjane was doing and slipped into my craft room and grabbed a basket of paint samples that I had gotten a year ago. Passing by ravenjane’s room I tell her we are going to do a little paint project before math.
She is game for that! This was at 9:30 a.m. I went downstairs and began . It has been a long winter and my soul was yearning for color. I have enjoyed the snow but am ready for Spring. Inside I sense/feel the season pushing through winters’ lingering days.
At noon we got off the floor the cupboards were no longer white. The hours sitting with my 9 year-old painting grew us closer. We both had to paint over our mistakes creating a new image when we didn’t like how the first turned out. We both new that “daddy” liked plain surfaces but we decided to do it anyway. He loves it! Thank you for reading and thank you all for your sharing. I am inspired.

    • LOL That was the first thing I was thinking as I was reading your other comment, “I want to see those cupboards!!”

Hmm . . . I am not the brightest bulb in the bunch when it comes to computer stuff. You could attach it to an email and send it to me. Do you have flickr or instagram? You could post it there and then send me the link.

LMk if any of that works for you.

I love the connection time with your daughter. THAT is what it’s all about, isn’t it??!! It is rainy and gray here today and I have been scheming since yesterday to whip out an art project of my own.

      xxoo to you.
      Sheila
