Habit: Reflective Friday

Inspiration for today taken from habit.

A picture, a few words, a little mystery, that somehow form a visual journal of my previous week.

Have a great weekend, friends.
I’m going to Wyoming!
I have baked nothing and crafted nothing. Zero.
It’s good to see him up there again.
When I bought the car, I didn’t think to ask if it could haul 900 pounds of hog meat.

  1. Hey Lady,
I don’t think cowgirls bake or craft, so you are on the right track!!! I am sure they do haul hog meat, so again, you are doing exactly what you should be doing! So great about Wyoming. Now you know why you love cowboy boots so much:)

    • Now isn’t that the truth!! That hog kicked my butt this morning. My neighbor pulled up with his pickup truck LOADED with over 1000 pounds of meat (only 330 pounds were mine!) before 10 o’clock. The boys and I sorted it and then hauled half downtown for Andrea to pick up. Oh my lord I am tired! We are off to see the Nutcracker tonite and then we are D.O.N.E. We leave for the beach in a week – I can’t wait!!

Hope you are yours are well.

  2. Habit Blog is my favorite to read. I enjoy the simplicity and beautiful photos.
Your photo above with the baking flour and eggs is gorgeous!
    Merry Christmas!

  3. I am so glad you are going to Wyoming. Of the states I have visited I think it is my favorite. Can’t wait to hear all about it! And I know you will have a wonderful time at the beach.xoxo

    • Well you know I’m not going until the very end of August – so much time to get nervous (I mean, excited!) I have been to the southwest but never to this part of the country. It feels big in a lot of ways.
Thanks as always for your friendship.

  4. You’re going to Wyoming! Same thought exactly as Alison – you’ve got the boots, so of course you’re going. Great reflections…Hope the Nutcracker was fun. We went to see Annie last Sunday and we’ve been singing all week!

    • I’ve seen about 10 movies in my life, but Annie is one of my absolute favorites. (I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a live production of it though. Hmmm . . . ) The Nutcracker was great. It is our second time seeing it and it is turning into a nice holiday tradition.

And Wyoming . . . It’s not until September and seems very unreal. Busting out of my comfort zone left and right!!
