  1. I love these words from Eliot, yet they always seem just beyond the fingertips of my understanding. I hear echoes of Rilke’s “love the questions” – but there is something else here. In the final two lines I can’t help but infer a tone a celebration or perhaps it’s a call to active engagement.

    Anyway, I love them. And would love to hear your thoughts as well.

    I just love T.S. Elliot and this poem. I too think that the last two lines have a tone of “pure joy” and perhaps a call to us to the quiet within. (without any thoughts of hope, love or faith)
